Abstract:
The paper considers the process of the second harmonic generation in a ring resonator with external pumping at the fundamental frequency. It is shown that such a system can exist in a bistable and multistable states. For these regimes to performed it is necessary that reduced length of the nonlinear medium (normalyzed by the conversion length) be large enough ( >~4).
