The work is dedicated to developing methods of studying disperse characteristics of liquid-droplet aerosols in a wide range of particle sizes. The application of the method based on analysis of particles of the saline residue resulted from evaporation of droplets when atomizing model aqueous NaCl solutions is experimentally evaluated. This method was used to investigate the particulate composition during the pulse and ultrasonic atomization of liquids.
