The possibility of CuBr lasing pulse elongation and shape control is shown when using a two-sectional gas discharge tube. Introducing of mismatch into the sections operation with the help of a delay circuit allows an increase in the lasing pulse length up to 90 ns and formation of a double pulse, required for some practical applications. A decrease in the concentration of working laser medium vapors in the lead section results in formation of the step lasing pulse, which provides a low-divergence beam.
