Methodological and instrumental bases are considered for designing a prototype of an information-measurement system (IMS), intended for monitoring and forecast of hazardous weather conditions over territory up to several hundreds of square kilometers. The instrumental part of the system includes a network of AMK-03 automated ultrasonic weather stations, covering the territory. The stations measure meteorological quantities and transfer them to a log server with high data refresh rate. To forecast meteorological processes, the WRF mesoscale model and method based on Kalman filtering, and developed for local short-time forecast of meteorological quantities to be measured with AMK-03, are used. The paper presents description of the IMS developed and the first results obtained.
