Pulsed gas lasers on dense gases, pumped by double discharge, are studied. High-voltage pulse generators with inductive energy storage (GIES) are used for volume discharge formation or direct excitation. It was shown that GIES provides formation of stable volume discharge in gas mixtures at elevated pressures. This allows one to significantly improve output parameters of different lasers on dense gases (CO2, HF, DF, exciplex, nitrogen). A promise of application in GIES of the semiconductor opening switch, based on SOS-diodes, is demonstrated.
