The scientific and practical urgency of studing properties of polyatomic molecules is connected with wide use of organic compounds as a component of active media of lasers. The presented combined approach to develo-ping and creating active media of tunable lasers allows one to obtain new fundamental data about features of energy deactivation of electronic excitation in organic molecules, to predict their properties. By the example of substituted pyrans to the possibilities approach to research of regularities and mechanisms of formation of spectral-luminescent and lasing properties of this class of compounds are shown.
