The wave-front error sensitivity of the Ronchy method is analyzed in the work. The presented correlations show that the Ronchy method with visual readout of a shadow picture does not provide for the high quality optics control. The evaluation of the null-test Ronchy method sensitivity to screen position and to shadow picture observation plane is made.
