We present some results on the concentration of near-ground ozone, nitrogen monoxide, and nitrogen dioxide, obtained in Ulan-Ude during the observation period of 1998 and 1999. Generation of ozone in the course of photochemical processes involving nitrogen oxides has been observed on the southeast coast of Lake Baikal. The equilibrium concentration of the photochemical ozone has been estimated. It was found that, in the coastal region of Lake Baikal, the processes of NO2 formation dominate over photolysis processes.
