We present here some results of numerical calculations for the effect of stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) threshold decrease in weakly absorbing ethanol drops under the action of Nd:YAG laser radiation at λ = 0.532 μm. We analyze here physical causes of this effect in spherical particles. The results obtained are compared with the experimental data.
