Abstract:
Satellite images were processed to yield a set of characteristics for a quantitative analysis of spatial spectra of different cloud types. The resulting spectral shapes are described. The feasibility of statistical discrimination between various cloud types based on the maximum distance test in the five-dimensional Euclidean space of cloud characteristics was estimated.
