Abstract:
A state-of-the-art review of lidar complexes is given. The relative measurement error, dynamic range and space (time) resolution are chosen to be the major metrological characteristics of lidars. The correlation between the above parameters and the contribution to the technical data from individual structural units used in the lidar setup are discussed. Finally, the main performance specifications of the Soviet lidar complexes are listed.
