A modified lidar system developed at the Institute of Electronics of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is described. The setup employs lasers in copper and gold vapor and operates in the photon-counting receive mode. The system is integrated with a microwave and infrared radiometer complex and a radar at 3.2 cm. The feasibility of simultaneous lidar sounding of troposphere down to the boundary layer and stratosphere up to 25-30 km at 0.51 and 0.628mm is shown. The measurements are made with high space and time resolution.
