Abstract:

A retrieval procedure for the reconstruction of the surface albedo and single-scattering albedo of the boundary layer aerosol as well as the optical thickness of the atmosphere from the satellite measurements of the outgoing short-wave radiation for clear sky has been developed. The proposed approach is based on the numerical simulation data on the outgoing flux as a function of the above parameters characterizing the atmosphere underlying surface system and of the zenith angle.
